Choosing your conditions

The bottom line

Conditions are your exits. A due diligence condition is the widest one.

Finance, LIM, building report and due diligence are the usual conditions. Each lets you cancel for a specific reason within a set number of working days. A building report condition only works if the report is unsatisfactory on an objective assessment. A due diligence condition lets you cancel if you're not satisfied with your due diligence, as the clause sets out.

The right mix depends on the property and the competition. Fewer conditions make an offer stronger; more conditions make it safer. We help you choose.
